Christian

Founder of REAL Coaching and a sought-after keynote speaker.

Christian Matthew Washington

At eight years old, on a rusted swing set in Compton, Christian yelled something the other kids hadn't heard before — "I'm going on three" — counted to three, and jumped. That leap didn't just give him a rush. It gave him a language he'd return to for the rest of his life: at the boarding school opportunity that changed everything, at the gas station stop that could have gone very differently, in every room since where the gap between knowing and going showed up again. He's been teaching people to close that gap ever since.

Founder of REAL Coaching and a sought-after keynote speaker, Christian has spent over two decades helping leaders and organizations override hesitation and build lasting momentum — advising organizations including World Vision, Bell Canada, and the United Methodist Church across three continents. He's taken the stage everywhere from the THRIVE Pastors Growth Summit in Chicago to the National Sales Network and the Global Leadership Summit, speaking across the U.S., the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe.

He studied theology at Princeton Theological Seminary, and management and organizational leadership at UC San Diego and the University of Maine. His forthcoming book, Go On Three, distills his signature framework into a practical rhythm anyone can build.

Christian's work draws on a simple conviction: most people don't lack clarity about what they should do next. They lack a trained rhythm for actually doing it. Everything he writes, teaches, and builds — the book, the podcast, the newsletter, the coaching work — comes back to that one idea: override isn't a personality trait. It's a rep you can build.
