Say this out loud —

I start before fear finishes the sentence.
I will not wait for every risk to disappear.
I trust my courage more than my comfort.
Today I refuse to let hesitation have the last word.

When Nelson Mandela emerged from prison after 27 years, the world
watched to see what kind of leader he would become. His release was
historic—but what came next was radical.

He didn't wait for the pain of apartheid to be erased.
He didn't wait for everyone to agree.
He didn't even wait for his advisors to be comfortable.

He launched the Truth and Reconciliation Commission—inviting those who
had committed violence to confess their crimes and, in many cases,
receive amnesty. He wore the Springbok jersey—a symbol of white
Afrikaner identity—at the Rugby World Cup to unify a divided nation.
And he reminded his people that forgiveness was not weakness. It was
strategy. It was courage.

Most of the world wanted vengeance.
Some of his allies wanted silence.
But Mandela had already learned something during those years on Robben
Island:
If you wait until everyone approves, you never move.
If you wait until fear finishes the sentence, it will write the whole
story.

So he interrupted it—with movement.
And a new South Africa was born.

"Do not be afraid.
Stand firm—and move forward."
—Adapted from Exodus 14:13--15

Think of one area where you've been silently waiting for clarity,
confidence, or consensus.
Name one action that would signal movement.
Take that action today—before fear tries to talk you out of it.

Where today did I interrupt fear with motion?
Did I move before the whisper of hesitation grew loud?
Did I honor the quiet courage to begin?

I start before fear finishes the sentence.
Even when the voice shakes.
Even when the path is unclear.
I was not built to wait.
I was made to move.
